819 N. Charles Street was nothing but a country dirt road until 1856. That year saw the erection of the first house in this section of Baltimore. Several years later the road was paved and gradually houses sprung up all along the street. It was not many years before this part of Charles became the most fashionable section of Baltimore. 819 N. Charles Street is currently home to Agora's Health Division.
